Health Fairs
Health fairs are an important venue for the Knoxville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure to reach new people and distribute vital life-saving breast health information.
The Knoxville Affiliate hosts booths at several health fairs around East Tennessee . Our volunteers are eager to set up a Komen booth at health fairs and are trained to answer any questions regarding breast health and breast cancer information. We hand out educational materials about breast health and breast-self exams as well as provide information about local breast health programs and services at our booths. The booth also comes equipped with a fun prize wheel that has plenty of rewards for everyone. If you are a new volunteer we ask that you meet with the Volunteer Coordinator and the Education and Outreach Coordinator before volunteering at a health fair. Please fill out the general volunteer application and call the Knoxville Affiliate office at 865.588.0902 to make an appointment.
