East Tennessee Community Grants

The Komen Knoxville Affiliate offers community grants for innovative projects in the areas of breast health and breast cancer education, outreach, screening, patient navigation and survivorship not otherwise available to medically underserved populations in East Tennessee. The Community Profile is used to establish priority areas for grant funding that are consistent with Komen's stated mission and focus resources in the areas where they are most needed.

Grant applications are now being accepted for Breast Health and/or Breast Cancer Education, Screening, Patient Navigation and/or Survivorship Projects in East Tennessee. The 2008-09 grant cycle will offer funding from April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009. Applications will be accepted from U.S. non-profit (federally tax-exempt) organizations, e.g., educational institutions, government agencies, and Indian tribes are eligible. Applications must be submitted in English. Applicant organizations must be located and/or provide services that benefit people residing in Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Hamblen, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier or Union Counties. Projects that specifically address the gaps identified Komen 2006 Community Profile will be given priority.

Application deadline is Friday, November 30, 2007, 4:00 PM. Please refer to the 2008 Community Grant RFP for submission requirements. Applications postmarked on or before November 30, 2007 will be accepted. Faxes will NOT be accepted. Mail or deliver applications to:
