East Tennessee Community Grants
The Knoxville Affiliate offers community grants for innovative projects in the areas of breast health and breast cancer education, screening, treatment support and survivorship not otherwise available to medically underserved populations in East Tennessee. The Affiliate’s Community Profile is used to establish priority areas for grant funding that are consistent with Komen's stated mission and focus resources in the areas where they are most needed.
Grant applications are now being accepted for breast health and/or breast cancer education, screening, treatment support and/or survivorship projects in East Tennessee. The 2010-11 grant cycle will offer funding from April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011. Applications will be accepted from U.S. non-profit (federally tax-exempt) organizations (e.g. educational institutions, government agencies).
Applications must be submitted in English. Applicant organizations must be located in and/or provide services that benefit people residing in Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Hamblen, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier or Union Counties.
Application deadline is Friday, December 4, 2009, 4:00 pm. Please refer to the 2010-11 Community Grant RFA for complete submission requirements. Faxes will NOT be accepted.
